Has anyone had any experience establishing a SourceSafe DB that is accessible over the web? I have a Win2k server that I run 2 sites from my house and could have a VPN or whatever. I'd like be able to have this repository of source that I could access from anywhere. Thanks for any ideas.
I don't know if using other source control providers is an option but we use a program called SourceGear Vault for our source control:

Will it help you as a 'newbie'?
Yes, if you are diligent about using it.
If you check in / check out often, it is good for tracking down bugs, helping you remember what you changed, etc...
There are better tools for the job though. But for what VSS costs (Free), it is quite capable.
I've been using it for 3 years now.
Charley.
RonAFS - how do you rate Vault, we were thinking of going that route and I would be interested in your views.
